Concept for international competition "Poorten naar Fryslân". Participants were asked to generate ideas for 4 landmarks, to be placed on the border of the province of Friesland. We created clear typographic landmarks. FRL shortly stands for Friesland. Each landmark was to be produced using a different material linking to the history and surroundings of the specific location.
